Meeting Difficult Emotions
Difficult emotions rarely arrive as clean, uncomplicated experiences. Almost immediately, we begin interpreting, rehearsing, resisting, and building a story around what we feel.
Tomorrow, we’ll investigate that cycle using body, breath, and attention. We’ll look at how rumination and reactivity shield us from difficult experiences that can feel almost unbearable. Then we’ll practice returning from interpretation to kindness toward our immediate, sensation-level experience.
Expect guided practice, teaching, and time for questions.
